Koepenick a hamlet in the Berlin district of Treptow-Koepenick is located in the southeast of the city. Koepenick is located in Berlin glacial valley at the mouth of the river Dahme in the Spree. The Spree connects Köpenick with the Müggelsee and central Berlin.

Today the district is based on the area of up to 1920 independent town Koepenick and is nearly 35 square kilometers and approximately 60,000 inhabitants the biggest district of Berlin.
