Stralsund

Stralsund is a city in northeastern Germany in the southern Baltic region. It belongs to the part of the country Vorpommern of the country Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The Hanseatic city is located on Strelasund, a strait of the Baltic Sea. It is called because of their location as “gateway to the island of Rügen"; With this Stralsund is connected by two bridges. Stralsund is the county seat and large district town in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen and with about 59,400 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2018), the fourth largest city in the country and the most populous in Western Pomerania.
